The design of the square in front of the St. Rok´s Church in Brežice included the preservation of the previous unfinished arrangement from the year 1991 when the existing lime tree was planted and the path to the tree was laid. The path was paved by larger gravel stones, the area remained undefined and unfinished.
The new design of the square expresses the intention to connect people in the area. The winding bench embraces the circular shape of the square whose central point is the lime tree that offers the passers-by a resting spot in its mighty shadow. On the axis of the lime-tree and the church altar there is
a circle of gravel stones integrated in the pavement, symbolizing connection, unification and eternity.
A green horticultural barrier between the sqare and the road is intended for offering shelter to visitors  and to provide intimacy of the square.
On the other side of the new space various vegetation will be planted which could be admired throughout the year offering the visitors a good reason to stop by although the church is empty.
